BuShips Directive 1607-01 was issued on 19 July 2016 under the authority of the Third Space Lord. It opens nominations for HMS Unconquered (CL-16).

On behalf of the Third Space Lord, ADM Lord Sir John Roberts, KDE, SC, Earl New Mecklenburg, I am please and proud to announce that our office is accepting and considering nominations of your fellow naval service members for induction to the crew of HMS Unconquered.
Please review the pertinent Admiralty Orders (1511-04 and 1102-12) for the Crew and Commanding Officer of HMS Unconquered and note the requirements for nomination. Please remember that once a person is named to HMS Unconquered, they are part of the crew for life and no further nominations are needed nor accepted for that person. Nominations may be submitted to buships@trmn.org.
As was the case last year, we would like to remind you all that this distinction, honor, and privilege is granted for outstanding service to the RMN as a whole, NOT individual chapters. Additionally, we will be looking VERY hard at officer nominations as HMS Unconquered is severely overstaffed with officers and the enlisted crew who form the backbone of the RMN are severely under represented.
As of this point in time, a total of 69 members have been named to the crew of HMS Unconquered, this is a high honor and the Office of the Third Space Lord works very hard to make sure everyone inducted is deserving of the honor. If no one is deemed worthy in any given year, no one will be inducted for that year.
Nominations will be open until August 31, no nominations will be accepted after that date. The inductees will be announced at HonorCon. If you have any questions, please feel free to email buships@trmn.org and we will try to help as best as we can.
Please share this information with all elements of the RMN and RMMC, including Bureaus, Fleets, Echelons, and Vessels.
