Ensign Ervin:
You are hereby directed and required to proceed aboard HMS Hector (BC-548), there to take upon yourself the duties and responsibilities of Executive Officer, in service to the Crown. Fail not in this charge at your peril.
Based upon the requirements of the service for your new billet, you are hereby promoted to the rank of Commander, RMN.
The Bureau of Ships wishes to thank and acknowledge the service of Commander Hal Wm. Vaughan as the former Executive Officer of HMS Hector.
