Protector’s Order 2201-00 is the number assigned to an Announcement made on the TRMN Forums issued 27 January 2022 by the High Admiral of the Grayson Space Navy. It outlines the Office of the High Admiral New Year's 2022 Awards.

Order Text

As we have started a new cycle around our respective Balls of Plasma that provide energy to our systems, it is hoped that the Members of the Grayson Space Navy, citizens of the Protectorate of Grayson, and all Children of the Great Tester are well. In this new year, we look to those who have achieved great things and are to be commended for their accomplishments and serve as examples to all of us. Thusly, the following are deserving of Great Honor and are to be recognized for their service.

Unto Captain Tom Saidak, Captain of HMS Intractable, the Conspicuous Service Medal is hereby awarded for his dedication and diligence in leading his chapter and trying to motivate and lead in these trying times, and doing so after having taken a reduction in rank to be of Service to the Protector and the Tester.

Unto Stephanie Berlien, the Masadan Occupation Medal is given for conspicuously wearing the colors and serving as an ambassador for the TRMN at CONvergence 2021. Their visible and cheerful interactions reaffirmed the TRMN ties to the convention and to fandom.

Unto MCPO Kevin Mortimer, the Armsmans Cross with Diamonds is given for his consistent outstanding performance to the Bureaus of TRMN, specifically as his role of Sponsorship manager. Through his actions and his consistent work, many items have been made available for members of not just GSN, but of the other branches of TRMN as well. Furthermore and more impressively, he went above and beyond at Novacon 50, where he took time and drove across the country to procure supplies for the convention, and coordinated the actions of the TRMN and our presence at the convention. This being the GSN equivalent of the Osterman Cross, the awarding of this comes with the offer of receiving an Officers Commission if he so choses.

Unto Vice Admiral Ben Loyola, for his long years of service as the Executive Officer of HMS Wolf, his tireless service to the GSN as one of the most visible and persistent motivators of the GSN, and his countless times of service at multiple Conventions across many time zones and locations, is awarded the Swords Cross with Diamonds. For the past seven years, VAdm Loyola has been GRAYSON, has always portrayed and promoted GRAYSON. For this, we thank him for his years of service to the Tester, the Protector, and the Keys. This is the GSN equivalent of the Manticore Cross.

Unto LtSG Fiona Clark, who is awarded the GSN Meritorious Service Medal, for her service to HMS Pegasus as well as the GSN at Armadacon 2021, who overcame difficulties to represent TRMN and the GSN.

Unto Captain Philip Clayton, Steadholder Fitzgerald, it is with great joy that we give the Swords Crossed in Gold, which is the GSN equivalent to the Order of the Crown for Naval Service. Among his many accomplishments over these years, his service as Captain of the HMS Duke of Cromarty, leadership of Escort Division Six, his ceaseless care of duty, inspiration, and overall dutifulness is a credit to everyone who has the pleasure of meeting with him. His presence is always a joy to those around him, and his enthusiasm is infectious. He is one of the Pillars of the Service, and he is hereby recognized as such.

Unto Jessica Chadwick of HMS Demon, we enthusiastically and joyfully award the St Austin's Cross, for her dedication to the health and well being of another, resulting in the continued health of another member. The details must be kept private at the request of the parties involved, but conferring privately, the care consistently given is deserving of great reward and recognition for their selfless duty to care and to the health of another member. This is the GSN equivalent of the Queen's Cross For Bravery.

For the members who have shown us the way forward, and to how we should comport ourselves to each other and to those outside of our family, I would ask the traditional Three Cheers, and to raise a glass of your favorite drink to their service.

For the Keys, the Protector, and the Ever Watchful Tester, may we succeed in our tests as the above have met theirs, HIP HIP HURRAH!!

In Service,

Issued by:
James Jones
High Admiral of the Grayson Space Navy
"May we all meet our Test when it is given!"
