Re: Reservists in the RMMC (Corps Directive 03-1407)

After some discussion with various marines throughout the Corps, it appears that there is some confusion regarding reserve ranks within tRMN and its associated divisions. I must admit even I had to go back and reread the AO ( AO 1312-01) pertaining to reserve ranks within tRMN and its divisions. Currently tRMN only allows for reserve ranks under the narrowest of circumstances. Therefore as of the date of this Order, by my hand, and by the authority of the Sovereign, Queen of Manticore Elizabeth III, in order to settle any issues within the RMMC regarding reserve ranks and to insure compliance with AO 1312-01 the following policies are instituted for all marines and MARDETS within the RMMC;

  1. Individuals whose primary division is the RMMC (a marine), per AO 1312-01 may hold a reserve rank, if and only if, they hold a billet within the RMMC while simultaneously holding a billet within either the RMN, RMA, or GSN. If a marine does not hold a billet in either the RMN, RMA, or GSN then they may not be a reservist.
  2. Any other non-RMMC (RMN, RMA, GSN) personnel that hold a billet in either the RMN, RMA, or GSN and who are chosen to fill a billet in the RMMC may be considered a reservist as per AO 1312-01.
  3. Any other non-RMMC (RMN, RMA, GSN, Civilian, etc…) personnel wishing to join the RMMC as a marine and who do not hold a billet in either the RMN, RMA, or GSN and who are not going to be filling a billet in the RMMC must transfer from their current primary division to the RMMC.
  4. MARDETs may contain individuals who are reservists. Those individuals will count toward the total roster count for their MARDET. However a unit must have at a minimum 3 members whose primary division is the RMMC. MARDETs must also be commanded by members whose primary division is the RMMC. The command requirement applies to MARDET COs, XOs (if applicable), and senior non-com (if applicable). If a unit cannot meet the requirements as set forth in this and other Corps Directives, COMFORCECOM will take appropriate action.

The above effective 0001 hrs. 16 JULY, 2014.

In Honour of the Queen!

Issued by:
Marshal of the Corps
Lord Sir Sean Niemeyer, KCR, KDE, GS
Commandant
Royal Manticoran Marine Corps
First Earl, New Ulyanovsk
