Order Text

To: All Officers and Enlisted in the Royal Manticoran Marine Corps
From: Marshal of the Corps Sean Niemeyer, Commandant of the RMMC
Re: Official Signature Blocks (Corps Directive 01-1701)

Due to the confusion over how signatures should be listed in official correspondence, and due to previous guidance on this subject has been ignored because it was not promulgated via Admiralty Order, this Corps Directive is necessary. Therefore:

As of the date of this Order, by my hand, and by the authority of the Sovereign, Queen of Manticore Elizabeth III, I hereby Order that, effective immediately, the following (previously promulgated by RADM Diane Bulkeley) shall be the standard for all official signature blocks for use on all official correspondence within the RMMC:

Lord/Lady (if a landed peer) Sir/Dame (if knighted) NAME, any postnominals awarded, limited to the top 3 ONLY Rank (For all positions other than those on the Royal Council, also append RMMC, RMA, RMN, RHN, GSN, etc..) Position (If you have more than one hat, please use the proper position for the official correspondence, i.e., do not sign it as Chief of Staff, BuComm if you are posting as a Squadron CO, etc...) Ordinal number, level, and Landed Peerage (if any)

Signature will be a maximum of four lines as set forth above. This Directive is in accordance with the guidance previously issued and recently affirmed, by the Bureau of Communications. Please see my signature block, below, for an example.

This order shall be automatically rescinded if an Admiralty Order covering this topic is published at a later date.

This order made under my hand will be effective 0001 hours 07-JAN-17

In Honour of the Queen!

Issued by:
Marshal of the Corps
Lord Sir Sean Niemeyer, KSK, KDE, KCR
Commandant
Royal Manticoran Marine Corps
Duke, New Ulyanovsk

Clarification

Clarification is provided from questions posed and responses from the issuing authority in comments to the post containing the order.

Q: How does it effect someone who is just a regular Marine? I use the one below when sending anyone in the group an email.
E-3 Lance Corporal Im Bloggins
MARDET Eardsidh Kamerling

A Sean Niemeyer: In your case it would be:
Im Bloggins
Lance Corporal, RMMC
