Admiralty Order 1703-03 was issued March 27th, 2017 by the First Lord of the Admiralty. Re: TRMN Forums (Admiralty Order 1703-03)

This is a new step for TRMN, and as such, it was felt we needed an Admiralty Order to both fully explain it, and implement it.

As of the publication of this AO, on March 27th, TRMN will be moving off of Facebook. During the past few years, and due to our exponential growth, we have noticed certain issues with our presence on Facebook. Among these is a lack of understanding between the private pages of TRMN volunteers and their official personas on TRMN pages. This has led to unnecessary tension and also misunderstandings of conflicts.

To solve this, the Royal Council decided that we would be moving to Forums as soon as possible. This was also suggested to us by the Prime Minister. Thanks to the work, behind the scenes, of BuComm, those forums are now open. Each group, down to the Chapter/MARDET/Bivouac level has its own Forum. Additionally, there are forums for the Space Lords and Royal Council, where you will have the ability to interact.

Each Echelon level will need to designate at least 1 Moderator for their forums, and this information must be shared with the Forum Administrators via the Bolthole email below.

Issues with the Forums can be reported through Bolthole@trmn.org

The URL for the Forums is: https://forums.trmn.org/

You will log in with your MEDUSA Username (your email address) and password. There is no need to register.

To ensure as many of our members as possible know about this, it will fall upon Chapter CO’s to share this AO with their crews.

So what will happen to our Facebook pages, specifically our Groups?

The simple answer is that two weeks from today, they will be shut down, although there are a few exceptions. The main groups for the group and each sub-group will remain active, but will no longer be interactive. Those groups will be used to advertise us, and direct people to the forum and the webpage. They will be managed by BuPlan and BuComm, together.

Chapter groups may remain on Facebook for event planning, but they *must* be set to secret. These pages are no longer your primary method of communication. That will be the forums.

There will be a two week grace period on all Facebook Pages.

I look forward to seeing you all on our forums!

If you should have any questions, please feel free to contact the Office of the First Lord of the Admiralty.

In Honour of the Queen!
