Re: Manticoran Service Medal, Reserve Service Medal and Good Conduct Medal (Admiralty Order 1506-01)

As of the publication of this Order, the following changes are effective:

Manticoran Service Medal
Issued For: This is awarded upon completion of your tenth year of service in good standing as a commissioned Officer of either the RMN, RMMC or RMA. The Service must be consecutive and the member should have no offences or misconduct on their record. This can only be awarded to current members who are commissioned Officers.

Manticoran Reserve Service Medal
Issued For: This is awarded upon completion of your fifth year of service in good standing as a commissioned Officer of either the RMN, RMMC or RMA. The Service need not be consecutive, but must be for active years only. This can only be awarded to current members who are commissioned Officers.

Good Conduct Medal
Issued For: This award is given for five consecutive years of membership in good standing as Enlisted or Warrant Personnel of either the RMN, RMMC or RMA. Once the award is issued, the five-year clock resets. In other words, a member who joined 2010 will receive a GCM for the period 2010 to 2015. He will receive his next one in 2020. He may not request one in 2016 for the period 2011 to 2016, because the clock “reset” in 2015. A check of the members personnel file to ensure no offenses or misconduct will be conducted before issuance.

Any questions on this Admiralty Order should be addressed to the Office of the Fifth Space Lord as the Issuing Authority for the awards. This AO supercedes the information in the Awards Manual published in 2014.
