The Army Achievement Medal (abbrev. AAM) is awarded to those members of the Royal Manticoran Army who have distinguished themselves by excellent service or achievement in non-combat situations, but do not qualify for the Army Commendation Decoration. It is generally awarded to any whom are performing excellent work. Additional awards of the AAM are signified with a star attachment on the ribbon, referred to as a "cluster." The Army Achievement Medal cannot be awarded posthumously.

The Army Achievement Medal is of equivalent level to the Navy/Marine Achievement Medal awarded to qualifying Royal Manticoran Navy and Royal Manticoran Marine Corps personnel. The ribbons are of the same pattern, but in different colors.
