The Army Regimental Excellence Award (abbrev. AREA), also known as the Army "E" Award, is presented to units of the Royal Manticoran Army for excellence during battle efficiency competitions and war games. The Army Regimental Excellence Award cannot be awarded posthumously.

The equivalent award issued to qualifying Royal Manticoran Navy units is the Fleet Excellence Award which uses a ribbon of the same design with the same "E" but in different colors.

The RMA-wide winning unit is awarded the Silver "E:" Army Regimental Excellence Award OFA Ribbon.png

TRMN Information

This Award is issued once per year to the Regimental Combat Team which most demonstrates their excellence compared to the other RCTs. An RCT can be as large as a full RCT or as small as a Ground Installation. This is awarded based on the efforts of the entire Regimental Combat Team and not just the efforts of one person. An example would be, everyone in the RCT completing all the classes at Saganami Island or King Roger I Military Academy. Just one person alone completing them would not qualify.[1]
