A fireteam is the smallest unit used by the Royal Manticoran Army and the Royal Manticoran Marine Corps.
Royal Manticoran Army
In canon, the RMA is the basic building block of an infantry unit, consisting of four soldiers led by a Corporal. Two fireteams led by a Sergeant (nine total soldiers) make up a squad.
In The Royal Manticoran Navy: The Official Honor Harrington Fan Association, Inc. (TRMN), a fireteam is the smallest RMA chapter, requiring a minimum of two members, led by a Corporal (E-4).[1] When a chapter has at least five members, it may upgrade to be a squad.
