Re: 8th Fleet Award Announcements - Bubonicon • Eighth Fleet Order 1709-01

Bubonicon was held August 25-27th in Albuquerque, NM. It was submitted and approved as an official 8th Fleet event in the Spring.

As a Fleet level event, TRMN members who staffed the event are eligible for the Havenite Operational Service Medal. By my authority as commanding officer, 8th Fleet; the following individuals are awarded said medal: (This award is a 1 per year award, so if the HOSM has been earned at another Fleet level event in 2017, this award doesn't apply)

FADM John Roberts
Lt JG Phillip Dillard
PO3/C David Reustle
S2/C Richard Foust
S2/C Spencer Cerame

The following personnel went significantly above and beyond in making the TRMN Room Party a major success. Accordingly, they are awarded the Queen's Bravery Medal, with all accompanying rights and privileges, including the postnominal QBM.

Lieutenant JG Philip Dillard
Was one of two bartenders who worked the room party both Friday and Saturday nights. Philip worked the party and helped spread the word about the TRMN for a total of approximately 9 hours over the course of the two nights as well as moving throughout the crowds making sure all were safe and responsible in their drinking so that they did not become a danger to themselves or others from overconsumption of alcohol. In addition to his duties as a bartender, Phil ran resupply runs on Saturday to make sure we were restocked and ready for the party on Saturday night. Phil’s selfless dedication to making sure the parties were a success is a credit to the HMS Anasazi, 8th Fleet, and the TRMN as a whole.

Spacer 2/C Spencer Cerame
Spencer served as a bar back for the room party on Saturday, making sure we had plenty of ice and other supplies for the parties so that we could focus on tending the bar, making sure the guests were safe and responsible, and ensuring that we spread the word about the RMN. Over the course of the one day he was at the con, he provided service for a total of approximately 6 hours. His service included: regular (and frequent) ice runs, getting spare supplies from the closet for the bar, and running to the store for additional juice to use as mixers at the bar. Spencer’s willingness to step up and assist the room party in any way he could made sure the party was a success and reflects positively on the HMS Anasazi, 8th Fleet, and the TRMN as a whole.

Fleet Admiral John Roberts
Admiral Roberts has for several years served as point of contact and organizer of the Bubonicon room party. Without his efforts and support, the event would not exist (at least not in its current form.) His hard work, support, and encouragement strongly reflect the traditions of the Royal Manticoran Navy, and show great credit to HMS Anasazi, 8th Fleet, the Office of the First Space Lord and TRMN.

These awards authorized and ordered by my hand on the 5th Day of September 2017

Issued by:
J. Eddy Roberts, MC, SC, CBM
Rear Admiral, RMN
Eighth Fleet, Commanding
