BuShips Directive 1710-05 was issued 27 October 2017 under the authority of the Third Space Lord. This directive appoints a new Commanding Officer for HMS Valkyrie (SD-355).

Chief Burnham:
You are hereby directed and required to proceed aboard HMS Atropos (BC-363), there to take upon yourself the duties and responsibilities of Commanding Officer, relieving CAPTSG Michael Romero, OC, SC, OG, CBM, RMN, in service to the Crown. Fail not in this charge at your peril.
Based upon the requirements of the service for your new billet, you are hereby breveted to the rank of CAPTAIN (JG), RMN.
The Bureau of Ships wishes to thank and acknowledge the service of Captain Romero as the former Commanding Officer of HMS Atropos.
