BuShips Directive 2112-01 was issued on 15 December 2021 under the authority of the Third Space Lord. This directive appoints a new Executive Officer for HMS Merlin (CA-270).

Captain Junior Grade Tremaine:
You are hereby directed and required to proceed aboard HMS Merlin (CA-270), there to take upon yourself the duties and responsibilities of Executive Officer, relieving Commander Richard Sams, KDE, OG, RMN in service to the Crown. Fail not in this charge at your peril.
The above directive is effective on this date, 15 December 2021.
The [[[Bureau of Ships]] wishes to express appreciation and thanks to CDR Sams for his service as Executive Officer of Merlin and wish him all success in his future endeavors.
