BuShips Directive 1602-09 was issued on 17 February 2016 under the authority of the Third Space Lord. It changes command of HMS Medusa (SD-316).

Chief Roberts:
By the authority of the Third Space Lord, ADM Lord Sir John Roberts, KDE, SC, Earl New Mecklenburg, you are hereby requested and required to proceed with all due haste to HMS Medusa (SD-316), a Medusa-class Superdreadnought-Pods assigned to the Tenth Fleet, based in San Jose, California, so that you may relieve CDRE Michael Garcia and assume permanent command.
Per this order, the following personnel are to be assigned and/or breveted accordingly:
- CPO Erik Roberts, QBM, is hereby commissioned as Her Majesty's officer and breveted to the rank of CAPTAIN (JG).
- LTJG Melissa Hadley is hereby assigned as Executive Officer and is breveted to the rank of COMMANDER.
- CX2 David Goldsberry is hereby assigned as Ship's Bosun and is promoted to the rank of CHIEF PETTY OFFICER.
Furthermore, the following personnel are hereby reduced to their permanent grade:
- CDR Edward O'Connor is hereby reduced to CHIEF PETTY OFFICER.
The above orders are effective on this date, 17 February 2016.
