Honorary Peerage

An Honorary Peerage, also known as a Life Peerage, is a grant of peerage lands with a rank of nobility from TRMN to an Honorary Member that has performed extraordinary service to either the TRMN or the Honorverse. Generally, this has been contributing authors, such as the creator of the Honor Harrington novels David Weber, but is not restricted to just writers. Honorary Peerages do not vote in the House of Lords and do not have household staff drawn from the general membership of TRMN.
Honorary Peerages are not inheritable, and the peerage lands revert back to the pool of assignable lands.
