Notes:
- A Division of Larger Ships MAY have their Commander brevetted to the rank of Commodore.
- A Squadron of Larger Ships MAY have their Commander brevetted to the rank of Read Admiral
- Ships in a geographical cluster of 2-4 hours driving time will be designated a Task Unit, regardless of ship types the senior Commanding Officer will be designed the Task Unit Leader, but Promotion or Brevet is neither guaranteed or required.
- Ships in a geographical cluster of 4-6 Driving time will be designated a Task Detachment, regardless of ship types the senior Commanding Officer will be designed the Task Unit Leader, but Promotion or Brevet is neither guaranteed or required.
- Ships in a geographical cluster of 6-9 Driving time will be designated a Task Group, regardless of ship types the senior Commanding Officer will be designed the Task Unit Leader, but Promotion or Brevet is neither guaranteed or required.
- Ships in a geographical cluster of 9-12 Driving time will be designated a Task Force, regardless of ship types the senior Commanding Officer will be designed the Task Unit Leader, but Promotion or Brevet is neither guaranteed or required. There will be a limited number of Task Forces per Fleet, depending on its size, population and demographics.
This list will help with promotions to minimum acceptable Rank for positions, and it will also let us start slow and build. I will be presenting a breakdown of how each of these commands look in the next Admiralty Order.
