The Barony of New Kasserine is an honorary peerage title awarded by The Royal Manticoran Navy: The Official Honor Harrington Fan Association, Inc..
The current barony was awarded at the first MantiCon, on 27 May 2015, when Andrew Knipe of BuNine was created Baron New Kasserine.
The New Kasserine designation had first been used before 2010 when the title of Duke of New Kasserine was awarded to Bruce Zimmerman, who was then Commandant of the Royal Manticoran Marine Corps. In September 2010, Zimmerman was removed from the post of RMMC Commandant[1] and the lands of New Kasserine were returned to the Crown and made available to be awarded later.
