Re: | SphinxCon Award Announcements (San Martino Fleet Order 1812-02A) |
As folks can imagine, this will be a fairly hefty list, so please bear with me. If there is anyone that has accidentally been left off the list, please contact me via co@3rdfleet.trmn.org and I will adjust the list. Do keep in mind, though, that certain awards such as Havenite War Campaign Medal can only be issued once per year. Now, without further ado...
Christopher Baye is hereby awarded the QUEEN'S BRAVERY MEDAL for outstanding service to SphinxCon Shore Patrol; not only did he volunteer multiple ours at the event, but he served as the deputy NCOIC for the crew, and was instrumental in the development of the on-site security assessment.
David Fretz is hereby awarded the SILVER CROSS OF COURAGE in recognition for outstanding and continuous service to the SphinxCon Shore Patrol, where he served at least 8 hours. Such dedication is a frequent trait from this member at conventions, and is greatly appreciated.
Marvin Wooten is hereby awarded the CONSPICUOUS BRAVERY MEDAL (or Havenite equivalent) for lengthy and quality service to the SphinxCon Shore Patrol, having served at least 6 hours.
Gilbert Conrad is hereby awarded the CONSPICUOUS BRAVERY MEDAL for exceptional and professional service as Director of Volunteers for SphinxCon. Initially the deputy, and not yet a member of TRMN, Gilbert stepped into the role upon the resignation of the previous director. Throughout the convention, his sangfroid in keeping track of volunteers and making sure these people could contribute effectively confirmed his fitness for the position. In addition, after being impressed by the professionalism of the volunteers, he was inspired to join TRMN at the convention himself.
Doug Henry and Rob Marshall are hereby awarded the CONSPICUOUS BRAVERY MEDAL. This is in recognition of exceptional service with the SphinxCon Shore Patrol, specifically serving this function in the dealer's room throughout the weekend and relieving a tremendous scheduling worry.
Maria Alva, Greg Barnette, and Will Dickson are hereby awarded the CONSPICUOUS BRAVERY MEDAL in recognition of lengthy and exemplary service to SphinxCon Shore Patrol throughout the convention weekend.
Megan Krick is hereby awarded the CONSPICUOUS BRAVERY MEDAL in recognition of lengthy and exemplary service supporting the Bureau of Supply throughout SphinxCon weekend, despite a personal injury.
Caroline Ashwood is hereby awarded the MERITORIOUS SERVICE MEDAL for exceptional service while manning Security Post 3 at SphinxCon. This was an extremely high traffic area close to another convention and the SphinxCon dealer's room, and professionalism was critical in this post. Caroline's performance was noted by another member who is a Certified Protection Professional.
Peter Howdeshell is hereby awarded the MERITORIOUS SERVICE MEDAL for his service and professionalism as Director of Registration for SphinxCon. At all times, his demeanor was that befitting a senior officer of the Royal Manticoran Navy; as a result, Registration was one of the more calm areas of the convention.
Arasin Staubly and Rayanne McClellan-Staubly are hereby awarded the MERITORIOUS SERVICE MEDAL for their dedication and work in bringing about the Boarding Action which took place at SphinxCon. They are also personally thanked by the Escort Division 06 CO for their continuing service to HMS Saladin.
Marvin Wooten is hereby awarded the PRISONER OF WAR MEDAL (or Havenite equivalent) in recognition of wearing his alternate universe Star Trek uniform with an easily recognizable TRMN beret and Shore Patrol broussard.
David Fretz is hereby awarded the PRISONER OF WAR MEDAL (or Grayson equivalent) in recognition of wearing his original series Star Trek uniform with an easily recognizable TRMN beret and Shore Patrol broussard.
Doug Henry is hereby awarded the SURVIVOR'S CROSS for providing aid and assistance to Petty Officer Furr after a con visitor aggravated a permanently fractured bone in her foot by stepping on it. Doug wrapped the affected foot, minimizing the movement of the fracture and significantly reducing pain to the point that Petty Officer Furr was able to resume her convention duties.
Moira Chance is hereby awarded the NAVY/MARINE COMMENDATION DECORATION in recognition of assistance provided to SphinxCon registration. She also assisted with the Guest Information table and helped the hotel liaison ensure that information and help was distributed as needed, and worked to solve space arrangement and related tangles with Axanar were solved quickly.
Maechell Davis is hereby awarded the NAVY/MARINE COMMENDATION DECORATION in recognition assisting the SphinxCon hotel liaison. She eagerly served as Director Information, working to gather information on surrounding businesses, and organizing pane; scheduling information for the guests' personalized schedules.
Houston McPherson is hereby MENTIONED IN DISPATCHES for providing valuable assistance off-site, an also in ensuring that the SphinxCon game room was set up quickly and correctly.
Terry Street is hereby MENTIONED IN DISPATCHES for providing valuable assistance in breaking down the SphinxCon game room at the end of the convention.
