San Martino Fleet Order 1904-28 was issued 28 April 2019 by RADM Sir Michael Romero. This order issued operational awards for convention participation.

Re: AWARDS ADDENDUM (San Martino Fleet Order 1904-28)


My fellow San Martinos,

Thank you again for patience. What follows are additions to the PensaCon and FantaSci award lists released earlier this month[1]. We're going to have at least one more, too; Rear Admiral Lyons is preparing a list to reflect the service of the convention senior staff, and we have the goal of publishing that one within the first week of May once his work transition settles down.

Without further ado:

In recognition of the extensive and exemplary contributions to FantaSci made by a sizeable portion of the crew, HMS Werewolf is hereby awarded the ROYAL MERITORIOUS UNIT CITATION.

In recognition of outstanding contributions and a large time committment to the FantaSci ConSuite (including managing daily operations) throughout the weekend, Captain JG Thomas McDonald of HMS Agamemnon is hereby awarded the QUEEN'S BRAVERY MEDAL.

In recognition of outstanding contributions and a large time committment to both the volunteer and Shore Patrol staff at FantaSci, Gunner's Mate First Class Broccan mac Ronain is hereby awarded the QUEEN'S BRAVERY MEDAL.

In recognition of significant contributions and time committment to both the FantaSci volunteer staff and the ConSuite, Private First Class Jacqueline Skelton of London Point is hereby awarded the CONSPICUOUS BRAVERY MEDAL.

In recognition of significant contributions and time commitment to the FantaSci ConSuite and other aspects of the convention, and with particular thanks for the lengthy travel he undertook, Commander Thomas Black of HMS Agamemnon is hereby awarded the CONSPICUOUS BRAVERY MEDAL.

In recognition of outstanding contributions and a large time commitment to the FantaSci volunteer staff, the following personnel are hereby awarded the CONSPICUOUS BRAVERY MEDAL:

  • Chris Melton - HMS Testudo
  • Gregory Franklin - HMS Werewolf
  • Gregory Gunsallus - HMS Testudo
  • David Fretz - HMS Hector
  • Jeromy Newcomer - HMS Testudo

In recognition of his hospitality in hosting the RMMM Room Party and making significant financial contributions to the FantaSci ConSuite, Master Peter Gold of RMMS Pequod Alpha Orionis is hereby awarded the MERITORIOUS SERVICE MEDAL.

In recognition of significant contributions and time commitment to the FantaSci volunteer staff, the following personnel are hereby awarded the MERITORIOUS SERVICE MEDAL:

Mention is Given to Spacer First Class Mariah Maloy of HMS Werewolf, who provided invaluable assistance to the FantaSci Guest Liaison when she was pulled off site, fielding necessary questions and concerns. Spacer Maloy is hereby MENTIONED IN DISPATCHES.

Mention is Given to Chief Petty Officer Joseph Boor and Spacer First Class Jessica Clarke of HMS Agamemnon for exemplary service in support of the FantaSci ConSuite, both of whom were highly praised by the ConSuite Coordinator. Both members are hereby MENTIONED IN DISPATCHES.

In recognition of valuable assistance in setting up and breaking down the FantaSci ConSuite, Captain JG Samirah Johnstone of HMS Agamemnon is hereby awarded the NAVY/MARINE COMMENDATION DECORATION.

In recognition of their attendance and support of the Inaugural Four Horsemen Dining Out, the following personnel are hereby awarded the MASADAN OCCUPATION MEDAL, provided they have not already been so decorated in the 2019 calendar year:

In recognition of their contributions to PensaCon or FantaSci, both of which were duly designated Admiralty House Events, the following personnel are hereby awarded the HAVENITE WAR CAMPAIGN MEDAL, provided they have not already been so decorated in the 2019 calendar year:

Be advised, though, that we do have a third list coming out in early May, and I have put several members in for major awards recognizing their work at the convention which will take a little longer to be approved and announced. Once again, congratulations to everyone listed above, and thank you to every member of Third Fleet and beyond who worked to making the inaugural FantaSci a resounding success...I have no doubt that we'll be enjoying this new event for years to come!
