On February 15-17 2019, members of HMS Achilles supported the AnachroCon event in Atlanta, GA. Numerous Achilles crew gave significant amounts of their time to making the event a success, some even serving in senior staff positions. In recognition of participating in another organization's event while wearing identifiable TRMN apparel, the following personnel are hereby awarded the MASADAN OCCUPATION MEDAL:
- Paul Cashman - HMS Achilles
- Carolyn Crutchfield - HMS Achilles
- Michael Henigan - HMS Achilles
- Carolyn Shipman - HMS Achilles
Additionally, it has come to my attention that Spacer 2nd Class Carolyn Shipman has become a dedicated and enthusiastic member of Achilles in the short time she has been part of TRMN. She has shown enthusiasm for taking TRMN Courses, supporting Achilles at AnachroCon, and also contributing to the chapter's charity work. In recognition of and with gratitude for the service she has already shown her chapter, Carolyn Shipman is hereby awarded the NAVY/MARINE COMMENDATION DECORATION.
On 3 March 2019, members of HMS Atropos took part in the Newport News One City Marathon. Unlike past years where the crew served as volunteers, this year the crew fielded a team of four runners who completed the marathon as a relay, with several other members helping with transportation and logistical support. This turned out to be an excellent team event, and one the crew plans to repeat annually. In recognition of participating in another organization's event while wearing identifiable TRMN apparel, the following personnel are hereby awarded the MASADAN OCCUPATION MEDAL:
