First off ladies and gentlemen, the RMUCs, NCDs, and NAMs for this year's fleet challenges won't be issued (and the final results not posted) for a little while longer. Our FSMCPO had his computer waylaid in his recent travels, but I'm working with him to rebuild his records and get this information out as soon as possible.
In the meantime, it is my privilege to award the following, based on recommendations from within the fleet:
Captain Junior Grade Carolyn Crutchfield is hereby awarded the QUEEN'S BRAVERY MEDAL. This is in recognition of her constant upbeat attitude that helps keep her crew highly motivated and energized throughout all their efforts. She is an active leader in chapter activities from game nights to charity and community service events. Through her leadership, HMS Achilles is one of the most active chapters in Third Fleet.
First Lieutenant Jessica Nettles is hereby awarded the QUEEN'S BRAVERY MEDAL. This is in recognition of her role as the primary supporter supporter for hosting ship meetings in the Marine Bay, even when she was 'only' the Achilles Gunny. Through her efforts, every get-together she was involved with was, fun, memorable, and rich with camaraderie. Through her leadership, MARDET Achilles grew to the point where she accepted a commissioned billet therein to continue her tradition of excellence.
Commander Mike Henigan is hereby awarded the CONSPICUOUS BRAVERY MEDAL. This is in recognition of his constant service at a local food back, where in many cases he has brought other TRMN members with him to better suit the needs of the organization. He is quite passionate about his volunteer work, and it has served as a fine example by which his crew is encouraged to get involved as well.
Lieutenant Senior Grade Amber Howdeshell is hereby awarded the MERITORIOUS SERVICE MEDAL. This is in recognition of always standing by to host impromptu get-togethers, her active role in chapter activities, and frequent contributions to convention registration where HMS Excalibur is in attendance.
Senior Chief Petty Officer Joseph Davis is hereby awarded the MERITORIOUS SERVICE MEDAL. This is in recognition of constantly offering his practical AV knowledge at local conventions and events. Among his local crew, he can always be counted upon to lend a hand wherever needed.
Lieutenant Commander Niki Rece and Senior Master Chief Petty Officer Ken O'Dell are hereby awarded the NAVY/MARINE COMMENDATION DECORATION. This is in recognition of their positive (fun and humorous) attitudes that always make chapter work go more easily. Both stand ready to assist Excalibur when needed.
Congratulations to all those decorated above! I trust those present at SphinxCon will ensure these folks get a proper wetting down...
