Thank you to all involved for their patience when it comes to these awards; some have been delayed due to real-life circumstances and communications issues. However, the Third Fleet Staff remains dedicated to seeing that all our personnel receive the recognition they deserve. With that in mind, I am proud to issue the following awards:

HONORCON 2017
Thomas and Cynara McDonald volunteered over 34 hours of their time over four days at HonorCon 2017, most particularly in the Con Suite, ensuring that members had easy access to multiple food options throughout the weekend. Thomas also found the time to assist in the presentation of several panels. In recognition of their dedication to the convention far beyond the call of duty, the above members are hereby awarded the QUEEN’S BRAVERY MEDAL.
Samirah Johnstone contributed over 20 hours of her time to HonorCon 2017, volunteering to fill in wherever she might best be needed. At nearly every convention she is able to attend, she is very active in volunteering, bringing great credit to Third Fleet and HMS Agamemnon. Thomas Black also contributed over 20 hours to HonorCon 2017: serving in the ConSuite every day of the convention, using his personal vehicle for con related errands, and volunteered to assist with administering the SITS Crusher. In recognition of the quality and duration of their service to the convention, the above members are hereby awarded the CONSPICOUS BRAVERY MEDAL.
Broccan MacRoanain contributed numerous hours as a volunteer for the Shore Patrol at HonorCon 2017 on two days of the convention. Based upon reports forwarded by the CO of HMS Agamemnon regarding the duration and quality of his service, the above member is hereby awarded the NAVY/MARINE COMMENDATION DECORATION.
In recognition of significant time spent travelling in support of TRMN functions, the following personnel are awarded the SILESIAN ANTI-PIRACY CAMPAIGN MEDAL for HonorCon 2017, assuming they have not earned this award already for the calendar year 2017:

ASHEVILLE COMICON: 19 MAY 2018
John Hensley was a dedicated member of HMS Gallant at this event, volunteering to man the TRMN table throughout the event, allowing the rest of the crew time to enjoy the event themselves. He is known for being the most knowledgeable member of the crew when it comes to Honorverse details, and he proved a most amiable recruiter towards interested personnel. Based on his Captain’s recommendation, John Hensley is hereby awarded the NAVY/MARINE COMMENDATION DECORATION.
Matthew Miller provided great assistance to a convention goer who went into an allergic reaction while separated from her Epi-Pen. Matthew contacted the EMT’s, helped to calm the woman, and collected a detailed description of her son (who was carrying her Epi-Pen at the time) and helped bring him to his mother’s location. The EMT’s arrived in time to administer the Epi-Pen, and Matthew helped accompany the woman to the ambulance. In recognition of his gallantry and with the woman’s personal recommendation, Matthew Miller is hereby awarded the SURVIVOR’S CROSS.

EMERALD CITY COMICS’ “SOLO DAY:” 9 JUNE 2018
While supporting a local comic book store’s celebration of the release of “Solo: A Star Wars Story,” Winter Guite was photographed wearing an HMS Duke of Cromarty ball cap while armored as an Imperial Biker Scout. As such, he is hereby awarded the PRISONER OF WAR MEDAL.

Based on her captain’s recognition and in honor of her extended service as Boatswain of HMS Agamemnon (during which time she was an integral part of her command team’s efforts at motivating the crew and saving the chapter from decommissioning), Samirah Johnstone is awarded the MERITORIOUS SERVICE MEDAL with the gratitude of her captain and crew.
Congratulations, everyone, and keep up the inspirational work. It is a privilege to lead such a hard working and successful fleet!
