BuShips Directive 2409-03 was issued on 4 September 2024 under the authority of the Third Space Lord. This directive decommissions SMS Zweihander (Z-129).

Kapitän der Sterne Prael:
Effective as of 0001 Hours on 4 September 2024, SMS Zweihander (Z-129) is to immediately stand down all present assignments and/or missions and is subsequently ordered to return to Manticore for decommissioning and crew transfer.
Upon arrival, you and your crew shall make SMS Zweihander (Z-129) ready in all respects for decommissioning: strike the colors and secure the watch. You are further ordered to relinquish command of SMS Zweihander (Z-129) to the Bureau of Ships in the person of Master Chris Lynch, RMMM, who shall hold temporary command for the duration of the voyage to Alpha Station, Potsdam for processing and inspection.
Upon completing inspection and decommissioning, SMS Zweihander (Z-129) is to be placed in Active Reserves.
The following personnel are hereby transferred to HMSS Hephaestus to await further assignment:
