BuShips Directive 2312-02 was issued 18 December 2023 under the authority of the Third Space Lord. This directive establishes the Grand Alliance Unit Excellence Program under BuShips

Re:	Establishment of the Grand Alliance Unit Excellence Program (BuShips Directive 2312-02)

Members of the Grand Alliance,

It is my pleasure to announce the Establishment of the Grand Alliance Unit Excellence Program (GAUEP). This program was designed to reflect the Battle Effectiveness awards found in several navies world wide and with the TRMN goal of promoting chapter activity, friendship, and camaraderie. While mirrored off of real world Naval tradition, this program is not limited to Navy chapters in TRMN but open to every chapter of every Branch. Fostering co-operation between units.

Beginning January 1st 2024, BuShips will begin accepting reports for the GAUEP on our official reporting page (Linked Below). Reported events will be verified either by proof given at time of reporting, Chapter Reports, or After Action Reports. At the end of the year, BuShips will announce Chapters who have completed Excellent Efficiency and distribute awards.

Three Awards are available within this program:

1. Command Excellence Challenge Letters will be awarded to chapters as they are completed. Color coded to the department they represent, they may be worn on a Chapter's flag, guidon, or pennant. Removed every year and replaced to show that year's accomplishments, a full list of Challenge Letters will be added to a Chapter's Mantipedia page as they are earned showing the legacy of the chapter and it's accomplishments.

2. Battle Excellence Ribbon in Gold (Or Branch Equivalent) will be awarded every year to participating chapters in an Echelon or Formation that have completed the requisite number of Command Excellence Challenges.

3. Command Excellence Ribbon in Silver (Or Branch Equivalent) will be awarded every year to participating chapters in a Numbered Fleet Area of Operation that have completed the requisite number of command Excellence Challenges. Chapters who are not in an Echelon or Formation can still qualify at this level.

For Branches that do not have a distinction between Silver and Gold for their Excellence Awards, they may earn as an Echelon or as a part of the Fleet Area to meet qualifications. For Chapters that are not strictly a part of a Numbered Fleet, they will be calculated as a part of the geographic Area of Operation for their local Fleet.

Chapters are encouraged to look ahead to what they have planned for the year and select what kind of challenges they wish to meet for the year. The goal of co-operation is at the heart of this program, working together and to recognize the achievements of our Chapters throughout the year.
