BuShips Directive 2108-01 was issued on 24 August 2021 under the authority of the Third Space Lord. This directive appoints a new Commanding Officer for HMS Hector (BC-548).

Captain Junior Grade Rist:
You are hereby directed and required to proceed aboard HMS Hector (BC-548), there to take upon yourself the duties and responsibilities of Commanding Officer, relieving Captain Junior Grade Andrew Ervin, CE, CGM, RMN, in service to the Crown. Fail not in this charge at your peril.
The following personnel have been assigned to your command, and are hereby directed and required to proceed aboard HMS Hector (BC-548), there to take upon themselves the duties and responsibilities below:
The above directive is effective on this date, 24 Aug 2021.
The Bureau of Ships wishes to express appreciation and thanks to Captain Junior Grade Erving for his service as Commanding Officer of Hector and wish him all success as her new Executive Officer.
