BuShips Directive 1905-02 was issued on 18 May 2019 under the authority of the Third Space Lord. This directive re-commissions HMS Ivanhoe.

Attention to Orders:
Effective as of 0001 Hours on 17 May 2019, it is my pleasure and privilege to announce the re-commissioning of HMS Ivanhoe (DD-480). This is a Roland-class Destroyer and is assigned to the Sixth Fleet (Houston, TX).
The following personnel are hereby transferred and permanently assigned to HMS Ivanhoe (DD-480):
- CAPTJG Alex Shaffer (assigned as CO)
- PO3 Shawn Cavitt (assigned as XO)
- PO2 Brent Stanton (assigned as Bosun)
- S1C Allison Norman
- S2C Julie Leslie Candler
- S2C Stephanie Yamasaki
- S2C Milt Alberstadt
The following brevets are hereby authorized:
- Shawn Cavitt to LIEUTENANT (SG), RMN
- Brent Stanton to CHIEF PETTY OFFICER, RMN
