BuShips Directive 1704-08 was issued 22 April 2017 under the authority of the Third Space Lord. This directive re-commissions HMS Broadsword (CA-47).

Attention to Orders:
Effective as of 0001 Hours on 22 April 2017, it is my pleasure and privilege to announce the re-commissioning of HMS Broadsword (CA-47). This is a Broadsword-class Heavy Cruiser and is assigned to the 8th Fleet (Glendale, AZ, USA).
The following Naval personnel are hereby transferred and permanently assigned to HMS Broadsword (CA-47):
