BuShips Directive 1506-08 was issued 24 June 2015 under the authority of the Third Space Lord. It commissions HMS Eardsidh Kamerling (CL-717).

My fellow Members of the Grand Alliance,
Effective as of 0001 Hours (EST) on June 24, 2015, it is my pleasure to announce the commissioning of HMS Eardsidh Kamerling (CL-717), under the command of Commander Terry Banta. This is a Kamerling Class Light Cruiser and is assigned to the Tenth Fleet, based in Kennewick, WA.
As of the date of Commissioning, the following personnel are assigned to HMS Eardsidh Kamerling:
- Commander Terry Banta (assigned as CO of HMS Eardsidh Kamerling)
- Lieutenant Commander Alan Schemer-Kohrn (assigned as XO of HMS Eardsidh Kamerling)
- Chief Petty Officer Ed Lund (assigned as Bosun of HMS Eardsidh Kamerling)
- Ensign Edward Newton
- Petty Officer 1st Class Douglas Staudt
- Spacer 3rd Class Matthew Anderson
- Spacer 3rd Class Larry Banta
- Civilian (youth) Oriennah Schemer-Kohrn
The following personnel are breveted in rank as indicated below:
