History
HMS Gallant initially commissioned under then-Commander Sherman Day in April of 2015 based out of Michigan City, IN., she was initially assigned to Second Fleet as an upgrade from {{#if:hcn

}}}}, which was returned to Active Reserve at this time.<ref name="BuShips Directive 1504-07">BuShips Directive 1504-07</ref> Continuing Hotspur's legacy of not being content to rest upon one's laurels, the crew of Gallant led the ship to become a founding member of Light Cruiser Division 651 in Third Fleet, that August: Gallant became the flagship for the division, joined therein by {{#if:

Gallant recommissioned in Third Fleet in July of 2017 under Commander Aiden Alexander, returning {{#if:hcn

}}}} to Active Reserve.<ref name="BSD170705">BuShips Directive 1707-05</ref> Keeping with the tradition of the hull, she was assigned to Task Group 32.2 scant days later.<ref name="ND17JUL03">Naval Directive 17JUL-03</ref> Sadly, in late March of 2020, Gallant decommissioned, returning once more to the Active Reserve.<ref name="BuShips Directive 2004-05">BuShips Directive 2004-05</ref>
