Re: The Empty Chair (Admiralty Order 1909-01)

As of the publication of this Order, the following is effective:

Many organizations have a ceremony they use to honor those that have passed. The Missing Man Formation used by many of the world’s Air Forces is one such example. Many other organizations have a similar honor by placing an empty chair at meetings or events to honor their lost member.

TRMN is an organization which is family for many, and over the years we have lost members.

To honor those we have lost, it will be suggested TRMN policy from this point onward to have an Empty Chair standing off to one side of the stage or function space representing those members who are no longer with us. This chair may be marked with a black cover over the back of the chair symbolizing the lost member and/or by an Organization Beret placed on the seat or a combination of both.

This will be effective immediately
