Re:	Award of Meritorious Service Medal (BuTrain Order 041-16)

Commodore James Jones (RMN-0397-11) volunteered to step up and take over temporary grading of the Naval Technical Specialty College Helmsman exams during a period when several schools of the Astrogation Department were vacant due to illness or retired instructors. Commodore Jones volunteered of his own accord without any prompting by the Astrogation Department Chair, and his aid over the course of a month allowed the department to continue running smoothly with no interruptions while instructors were recovering from illnesses and a new helmsman instructor was being trained. Commodore Jones’s professionalism, and willingness to support BuTrain, reflect credit upon himself and the Bureau of Training, and uphold the finest traditions of The Royal Manticoran Navy. Commodore James Jones is hereby awarded the Meritorious Service Medal.
