In The Royal Manticoran Navy: The Official Honor Harrington Fan Association, Inc. (TRMN), a Light Freighter is a Royal Manticoran Merchant Marine ship chapter. The minimum crew size is 6, of which 2 must be officers holding licenses as Master and Chief Engineer respectively. This size chapter also must have a Certified Bosun.
A Light Freighter can have a maximum crew of 25 and can carry 10 passengers. This chapter may also have one Inter-System Shuttle associated with it.
