Naval Directive 23JA-02 was issued 31 January 2023 by the First Space Lord. This directive appointed a new Second Space Lord.

Commodore:
Directive 23JA-02.01: You are directed and required to assume the role and responsibilities of Second Space Lord, commanding the Bureau of Planning and relieving VADM New Hastings, RMN. Fail not in this duty at your peril.
Directive 23JA-02.02: By order of the First Space Lord, you are promoted to the rank of VICE ADMIRAL OF THE RED, RMN (F-2-A), and hereby entitled to all rights and privileges therein.
Directive 23JA-02.03: I wish to express my appreciation and gratitude on behalf of Her Majesty, to The Most Honorable The Baroness of New Hastings, Dame Cheryl Drentlaw, KSK, GCE, KDR, MC, RMN for her years of dedicated and stalwart service to the Bureau of Planning and TRMN. For her exceptional service and leadership, she is awarded the Order of the Crown for Naval Service!
The above directives are issued with an effective date of 31 January 2023 at 0001 hours.
