A wing is a military unit used by the Royal Manticoran Army's Atmospheric Command .
In canon, a wing is made up of one or more aerospace groups, and can consist of several thousand personnel.
Army Aerospace Wing
in The Royal Manticoran Navy: The Official Honor Harrington Fan Association, Inc. (TRMN), a wing is an Atmospheric Command (RMAAC) Tier 9 chapter, the equivalent of a ground force regiment.
A wing of the largest type of single-chapter RMAAC unit in TRMN. Its required minimum complement is:[1]
16+ Total members*
CO: Colonel (O-6)
XO: Lieutenant Colonel (O-5)
NCOIC: Sergeant Major (E-9)
(*A minimum of four of the chapter members must be commissioned officers, including the CO and XO)
Chapter Nomenclature
All RMA chapters that wish to portray an Aerospace unit take a wing name. If they are a smaller tier than full wing, they portray a constituent echelon of the wing. For example, a Tier 3 chapter portrays one of the wing's squadrons. The chapter name stays the same as the chapter grows to portray larger portions of the wing, up to the full wing (Tier 9 chapter).[2]

The Royal Manticoran Navy and other Grand Alliance navies operate LAC Carriers (CLACs) which carry Light Attack Craft (LACs). The total complement of LACs aboard a CLAC are organized into a LAC Wing.
LACs not operating from a carrier may be formed into a LAC Group
In TRMN, LAC Wings or LAC Groups may be divided into LAC Flights consisting of 2-3 LACs per flight.
