GNS Covington (CLAC-01) is a Covington-class LAC Carrier in Fourth Fleet. Commanded by CAPT David Sanders, GSN, Covington is a role playing chapter that patrols globally.

History

Covington was commissioned on 27 January 2014 under the command of then-CAPT Christopher Fells. The Covington was designed to be a roleplay chapter with members from around the world. The majority of it's membership are spread across the continental United States. The ship is a frequent attendee of Manticon and Honorcon as well as conventions local to its crew.

The ship was decommissioned on 30 November 2016 for failure of the command triad to complete testing. The ship recommissioned on 27 May 2017 under the command of then-CAPT Thomas Bainbridge. After 11 months in the role Captain Bainbridge stood down to join Astro Control Services and CAPT David Sanders took over.
