BuShips Directive 1612-04 was issued 5 December 2016 under the authority of the Third Space Lord. This directive changes the command staff for GNS Albion (DD-42).

Lieutenant Wagstaff-Weston:
You are hereby directed and required to proceed aboard GNS Albion (DD-42), there to take upon yourself the duties and responsibilities of Commanding Officer in service of the Protector. Fail not in this charge at your peril.
Per BuShips and BuPers policy, you are brevetted to the rank of LIEUTENANT COMMANDER, GSN, for this billet.
Additionally, the Personnel listed below are appointed under your command in the related capacities:
- LTSG Elizabeth Cant (RMN-0259-11) is assigned as Executive Officer.
