BuShips Directive 1806-06 was issued 16 June 2018 under the authority of the Third Space Lord. This directive recommissions HMS Avalon (CL-395).

Attention to Orders:
Effective as of 0001 Hours on 16 June 2018, it is my pleasure and privilege to announce the recommissioning of HMS Avalon (CL-395). This is an Avalon-class Light Cruiser and is assigned to the Tenth Fleet (El Cajon, California).
The following Naval personnel are hereby transferred and permanently assigned to HMS Avalon (CL-395):
- LCDR Timothy Simpson (assigned as CO)
- LCDR Jessica Akerson (assigned as XO)
- CPO Kyle Joynt (assigned as Bosun)
- LTSG Bill West
- LTSG Josh Weber
- CPO Ryan Joynt

The following brevets are hereby authorized:
- Timothy Simpson to CDR, RMN
Subsequent to the commissioning, HMS Bedivere (DD-486) shall be transferred to the Active Fleet Reserves, following an inspection and any repairs deemed necessary. The vessel shall be made available for recommissioning at a later date.
