BuShips Directive 1809-10 was issued 10 September 2018 under the authority of the Third Space Lord. This directive appoints command staff for HMS Reuben James (DD-570).

LCDR Barnette:
The following personnel are assigned to your command, HMS Reuben James (DD-570) in the defined capacities:
- PO1 Chris Allen Jenkins, RMN (RMN-1630-15), is assigned as Bosun, relieving CPO Christopher Upton, RMN. PO1 Jenkins is hereby breveted to the rank ofCHIEF PETTY OFFICER, RMN.
The above directive is effective on this date, 10 September 2018.
The Bureau of Ships wishes to express appreciation and thanks to Chief Upton for his service as Bosun of Reuben James.
