BuShips Directive 1809-12 was issued 20 September 2018 under the authority of the Third Space Lord. This directive appoints the Chief of Staff of the Bureau of Ships.

Captain Buckalew,
Effective 0001 on 20 September, 2018, you are hereby directed and required to report to the Headquarters Unit of the Bureau of Ships, there to take upon yourself the duties and responsibilities as the Chief of Staff. Fail not in this charge at your peril.
The bureau would like to extend their gratitude to Countess Miyake-Jima for her role as Chief of Staff, Bureau of Ships, and wish her well on her future endeavors.
