BuPers Directive 2012-01 was issued on 09 January 2022 by the Fifth Space Lord. This directive dissolves the Office of Retention.

To:	All Officers, Enlisted and Civilians in The Royal Manticoran Navy: The Official Honor Harrington Fan Association, Inc.

Re:	Closing of the Office of Retention

After much discussion, I have decided to close the Office of Retention. I would like to thank every member that has served in the office over the years, you have been very helpful in attempts to get chapters to get higher engagement with their members.

I hearby award the Navy Achievement Medal to Captain (SG) Hagemeier, Commander Kling, and Warrant Officer Palmer.

Warrant Officer Palmer, you are hearby required to report to Kapitain der Sterne Zoeller to assume your new responsibility in the Office of Member Services as Personnelman.
