BuShips Directive 1903-03 was issued on 07 March 2019 under the authority of the Third Space Lord. This directive assigns a new executive officer and bosun to SMS Scharnhorst.

Kapitain der Sterne Hampson:
The following personnel have been assigned to your command and are hereby directed and required to proceed aboard SMS Scharnhorst (SD-227), there to take upon themselves the duties and responsibilities below:
- Kapitainleutnant Sir Brent Roeder, OM, IAN (RMN-1891-14), is assigned as Executive Officer, relieving Kapitain der Sterne Kacey Ezell, IAN, in service to the Grand Alliance.
- Oberbootsman Sir Nathan Balyeat, KCE, QBM, IAN (RMN-4650-17), is assigned as Chief of the Boat (Bosun), relieving Stabsbootsman Cathe Smith, IAN, in service to the Grand Alliance.
Based upon the requirements of the service the following brevets are approved:
- Brent Roeder to FREGATTENKAPITAN, IAN
The above directive is effective on this date, 07 March 19.
The Bureau of Ships wishes to express appreciation and thanks to KdS Ezell for her service as Executive Officer, and SB Smith for her service as Bosun of Scharnhorst, and wish them all success in their future endeavors.
