BuShips Directive 1712-04 was issued 12 December 2017 under the authority of the Third Space Lord. This directive appoints a new command triad for HMS Achilles.

Lieutenant Commander:
You are hereby directed and required to proceed aboard HMS Achilles (BC-549), there to take upon yourself the duties and responsibilities of Commanding Officer, relieving CAPTJG Sir Scott Ash, KCE, RMN, in service to the Crown. Fail not in this charge at your peril.
Based upon the needs of the service, for this billet you are hereby breveted to the rank of CAPTAIN (JG), RMN.
The Bureau of Ships wishes to thank Sir Scott for his service as Commanding Officer of Achilles.
The above directive is effective 12 December 2017.
