BuShips Directive 1707-05 was issued 20 July 2017 under the authority of the Third Space Lord. This directive re-commissions HMS Gallant.

Attention to Orders:
Effective as of 0001 Hours on 20 July 2017, it is my pleasure and privilege to announce the recommissioning of HMS Gallant (CL-315). This is a Valiant-class Light Cruiser and is assigned to the Third Fleet (Asheville, North Carolina).
The following Naval personnel are hereby transferred and permanently assigned to HMS Gallant (CL-315):
- CDR Aiden Alexander, GSN (assigned as CO)
- LCDR Hans Sprenkle (assigned as XO)
- CPO Beth Bostic (assigned as Bosun)

Subsequent to this recommissioning, the Nike-class battlecruiser HMS Juno (BC-726) shall be transferred to the Active Fleet Reserves, following an inspection and any repairs deemed necessary. The vessel shall be made available for recommissioning at a later date.
