BuShips Directive 1707-03 was issued 15 July 2017 under the authority of the Third Space Lord. This directive changes the command of HMS Kraken.

The following personnel are assigned to your command, HMS KRAKEN (SD-163) in the defined capacities:
- CDR Samantha Martin, OG, RMN (RMN-2254-14) is hereby appointed as EXECUTIVE OFFICER, relieving CDR Christopher Carter, RMN.
The Bureau of Ships wishes to thank CDR Carter for his service to HMS Kraken.
The above order is effective on this date, 15 July 2017.
