Flag Captain

Basic Billet: Flag Captain
Minimal Rank: O-4
# of Hats: 0.5 hats
Required Path: Service
Direct Supervisor: Area Commanding Officer
Travel Required: Optional

Job Purpose

To assist Fleet Commanding Officer as a senior Ship Commanding Officer in the Fleet/Service, assigned specifically to the Flag Ship/Unit.

Duties

  1. Participate in Fleet Staff meetings as requested by the Chief of Staff
  2. Represent the Ships Command Triads point of view in Fleet level discussions
  3. Draft Fleet Orders as directed by the Fleet Commanding Officer
  4. Maintain Fleet roster and calendar for all Fleet events
  5. Mentor ship's officers and support their professional development
  6. Any other additional collateral functions as determined by the CO, XO or CoS

Skills

  1. Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  2. Familiarity with TRMN Forums, Discord, Facebook, G Suite, and other information sources
  3. Creative thinking and analysis skills

Qualifications

  1. Be a member in good standing in TRMN, within the Area of Operation.
