Seating within the House of Lord

The upper house of Parliament shall be known as the House of Lords and consists of all members who have received a TRMN peerage, who are Seated and are members in good standing. By default, new Peers will have a non-seated status. Once they have been appointed as a Peer, the Lord Speaker, or their staff, will contact the new Peer and explain the options, and the responsibilities of a Seated Peer. The new Peer is then given the option to opt into Seated status, or to remain non-seated. Once seated, the standard term of office in the House of Lords shall be for life, unless due to extended inactivity or for such cause as otherwise determined by House rules.
