To all Members and Citizens of the Protectorate of Grayson, and to all of our friends and guests within our Borders.

Today, we celebrate the Protectors Birthday as a Holiday to reflect on the year past and look forward to the future. We have faced trials and tribulations, famines, droughts, and disease. We cling to the hope of better days, assured in the fellowship and family that we have in our own lives, and our shared joys and passions.

Sadly, this year sees no new inductees into the Protectors Own, and I fear that the isolation that we have had for the past two years has drawn us further apart and not able to see or experience each other and the support that we show towards our fellows. The truth is that, for the lack of participation and gatherings, there were virtually no nominations for the Protectors Own, despite the announcements and reminders that those would be due. I am hoping that, as we are able to gather again, people will see worth in what others are doing and thus nominate them to the honored ranks of the Protectors Own.

For the coming year, however, the command triad for the Protectors own has been set and will be given leave to help encourage their peers and fellow members of the GSN and the Grand Alliance. The Protectors Own is our best and brightest, and should show the light of our drive, our values, and our gifts that we will share with everyone that we can. The Triad are to be the leaders of the Protectors Own this coming year, and are looked to as the exemplars of our best values. This year, the following are Honored to be given the roles as such:

SCPO David Fretz, Bosun, Protectors Own

We look to you to show us the way, and to lead us this year and be our shining light.

Again, thank you everyone this year, in showing the values and the worthiness of being a member of the GSN, and to strive to make the future a better place!
