BatDiv 841 was formed and established in 27 April 2016 with [[Naval Directive 16AP-04]] from the [[First Space Lord]], [[ADM]] [[Lord]] [[Sir]] Scott Akers, to [[CAPTSG]] Gurule to assume command.  Its charter member vessels were {{hms|Anasazi|SD(P)-482}} (flagship) and {{hms|Implacable|SD(P)-467}}.
