Royal Manticoran Astro Control Wings
Astro Control Wings are issued by Royal Manticoran Astro Control to promote the study of aerospace education. The wings are designed to recognize not only real world pilots, but people interested in being pilots and those interested in simulated aerospace flight.
Description
Wings will be issued in two colors: silver to denote enlisted members and gold to denote officers. The officers of the civilian uniformed services such as Astro Control, Royal Manticoran Merchant Marine, and Sphinx Forestry Commission can also wear the gold wings.
Additionally, wings will be available in three tiers: Basic (basic badge), Senior (basic badge with a star above it) and Master (senior badge with a wreath around the star).
Qualifications
To earn some of the wings, an online account with the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA) is required. These accounts are free to get. Please note, actual paid membership in the AOPA is not required. For the simulator component of this program, the simulator you choose to use must be able to log your flight hours. For those members that are certified pilots, upon verification of your pilots license and rating (private, instrument, or commercial), you will have the option to acquire the RMN Aerospace Wings.
Please Note: The issuance of TRMN aerospace wings of any type does not qualify you as a pilot under the regulations of the FAA or any other national or international aeronautics agencies. Skill in observation, navigation, or simulated flight are not a replacement for a legal pilot’s license and should not be treated as such.
RMN Solo Aerospace Wings
These are awarded to officers and enlisted alike. They are awarded for completion and sign-off of solo flight during flight training; you must supply a copy of your log book entry. This applies to all solo - private, sport or recreational pilot, glider or balloonist.
