Chapter Chairperson

*This position is more commonly referred to as the Commanding Officer (CO) in military and uniformed civilian chapters and Assistant to the Head of Posting for civilian chapters.

Job Purpose

To serve as the head of a chapter.

Duties

  • Determine and implement the vision for the chapter.
  • Set the Chapter agenda for the calendar year.
  • Serve as the voice of crew to Fleet/Service Command.
  • Ensure timely promotions for the crew.
  • Submit awards for crewmembers throughout the calendar year for achievements.
  • Organize, schedule, and participate in chapter meetings.
  • Recruit new members and grow the chapter.
  • Delegate responsibilities as duties become too heavy.
  • Mentor subordinates to promote, and ultimately start new commands. Grow the Fleet/Service.
  • Submit bi-monthly reports to Fleet Commander and Bureau of Ships (BuShips) on activities, promotion, awards, training, and additional information as necessary via TRMN Medusa.
  • Adhere to the TRMN Code of Conduct.

  • Lead by example and deeds.
  • Solid understanding of TRMN policies, practices, and procedures.
